The ACP Women’s Program teamed up with ACP Mentor Mariana Karam of Deere & Company for our Professional Development series February Workshop, Working in the Global Spotlight: Make Networking Your Secret of Success Abroad…and at Home!
Mariana Karam is the Global Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for the Combine/ Front-End Equipment (FEE) Product Line in Deere & Company’s Global Crop Harvesting platform. In this role, Mariana leads a worldwide team of over 240 manufacturing engineering professionals across the U.S, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Israel, and Russia. Prior to joining Deere & Company, Mariana served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, where she was an Aircraft Maintenance Officer during the Gulf War.
During the workshop, Mariana opened by offering strategies on how to build a network at different stages in your career. She then shared her own experience with international assignments at Deere & Company, and how one can leverage their network to obtain and succeed in an international assignment.
