ACP Women’s Program August Workshop: Navigating and Advancing in a Male Dominated Field

ACP's Women's Program teamed up with General Motors Mentor Mari Kay for our August professional development series workshop titled “Navigating and Advancing In A Male Dominated Field." Mari Kay expanded upon her 30+years advancing through the ranks at General Motors. She discussed her experiences as a female executive, highlighting her management strategies, personal branding, and team building. Key points of the discussion included focusing on challenges with male colleagues, building rapport with employees, taking ownership of individual success and bringing leadership skills built from personal life into the workplace.
