google vetnet award veterans service award google partner

NEW YORK CITY - Jun. 12, 2024

American Corporate Partners (ACP), the career development program for transitioning service-members and Active-Duty Spouses, is among three organizations to receive the 2024 Google VetNet Distinguished Partner Award.

This honor was given to recognize ACP’s efforts in advancing the needs of Veterans, and was created to honor organizations for their impact in the military community. The honor is given by Google’s Veterans Network (VetNet), an employee resource group that seeks to support Veterans and their families both at the company and externally through partners like ACP.

ACP offers year-long, one-on-one mentorships for post-9/11 Veterans and Active-Duty Spouses (Protégés), providing them with contacts and resources to navigate the transition from military service to the civilian workforce. With over 33,000 Alumni and 4,900 active mentorships, ACP continues to grow and support as many members of the military community in their efforts to combat Veteran underemployment.

Other honorees include the Travis Manion Foundation, The Military Veteran, and the Pat Tillman Foundation (2023). Representatives from ACP including Chief Operating Officer, Richard Comitz, attended Google’s VetNet Career Week 2024 event and accepted the award via a brief video recording. This three-day event was held from June 11th to 13th at the St. John’s Terminal office in New York City and broadcast live via the internet, with honorees being announced on Wednesday the 12th.

“Thank you VetNet for recognizing American Corporate Partners (ACP)'s work in the military community and thank you for all you do to support the military community,” said Richard Comitz, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of American Corporate Partners.

2,682 ACP Protégés obtained meaningful employment during the course of their mentorship in 2023.
