ACP Presents: Fast Forward to Your Career at L3Harris

On May 21st, ACP and L3Harris hosted an insightful webinar on hiring opportunities and career exploration in the aerospace and defense industry. L3Harris focuses its mission on creating innovative ways to use renewable energy. Their renewable energy initiatives helped the company surpass the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% three years ahead of their 2026 commitment. They also aim to enhance a culture of thoughtful and conscientious inclusion by intentionally creating inclusive environments. One of the ways they achieve this is through their Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). L3Harris offers 11 ERGs, which are voluntary, employee-led groups that bring together employees from diverse backgrounds and foster networking, professional development, and community outreach opportunities.

The panel featured L3Harris employees: Army Veteran and Operations Manager Dan Faulkner; Aerojet Rocketdyne Talent Acquisition Lead and Military Spouse Marcy Webb; and Air Force Veteran and Operational Analyst Mike Meyer. They discussed tried-and-true tips for writing a top-notch resume, giving a great interview, and networking with confidence. They also focused on career pathways that work for military spouses, as one of their biggest challenges is moving from place to place.
