Dawn Halfaker
Dawn Halfaker, an American entrepreneur, investor, and Veterans' advocate, is a San Diego native with a profound commitment to serving her country. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, she holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University. In 2006, Dawn founded Halfaker and Associates, a technology firm specializing in end-to-end digital solutions for government organizations. As President and CEO, she led the company to remarkable success and exponential growth, culminating in its acquisition by SAIC in 2021. Following the sale, Dawn established HAFCO Holdings LLC, a private investment firm, and The Continuing to Serve Foundation, a philanthropic organization supporting veteran entrepreneurs.
Dawn's military leadership is highlighted by her distinction as one of the few American women to command a platoon of ground soldiers in combat. A retired Army Captain, she earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart for her service during deployment to Iraq with the 293rd Military Police Company, 3rd Infantry Division. Committed to veteran advocacy, Dawn served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Wounded Warrior Project and is actively involved with the Vail Veterans Foundation, USO Board of Governors, and various Advisory Committees and Veteran Service Organizations. Throughout her career, she has also contributed significantly to medical research and technology aimed at enhancing warfighter capabilities.
