ACP's Women's Program March Workshop: Navigating Federal Employment and Career Advancement

For our March workshop, ACP Mentor and Senior Leader in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Margarita Devlin, shared her inside perspective on entering and advancing in the federal employment field. With her twenty-four years of experience, Margarita highlighted effective methods in a job search, and specific resources that can be used by the military community to enhance one's standing in any posted role. Additionally, she provided key tips for professional advancement, noting that intellectual curiosity, courage and taking advantage of continuous feedback might just land you that promotion. The workshop also included a lively discussion with participants asking personal questions and discussing how to apply this newfound advice to their own professional development.
