ACP Women's Program hosts Networking Event in NYC
This January ACP's Women's Program gathered in New York City for an evening of networking and community building. ACP Mentor Rita Kakati Shah, the founder of the career coaching organization Uma, applied her expertise as an international speaker, career and retention strategist to design an engaging networking activity which gave attendees a soft push out of their comfort zone and making new connections. In addition, refreshments and childcare were provided, helping make the evening accessible to mothers and busy women alike. The evening was a great success. One participant shared "I really enjoyed being forced to safely step outside of my zone and make real connections with people in a non-threatening environment. I left feeling very enlightened, empowered, and inspired! It was a great use of my time!!"
