ACP Presents: Military Planning to Business Planning with Nouryon

On July 23rd, ACP and Nouryon hosted a webinar discussing how military planning skills translate to the civilian sector. Nouryon, a specialty chemicals company with a global business presence, also shared effective strategies for highlighting military experience on a resume and best practices for interviews.

The webinar featured panelists: John Callaway, Senior Director of Global Carbon Business Strategy and Programs; Jason Thorne, SVP of Integrated Business Planning and Commercial Services; Regina Tracy, Global Director of Corporate Communications & Events; and Kendall Headley, Nouryon’s HR leader. They focused on Jason's transition out of the military and how others can follow suit to secure opportunities at Nouryon.

Various military experiences, such as project management, logistics, integrated business planning, and critical thinking, were also highlighted, along with the importance of asking questions about structure and corporate culture. The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
