David Axelrod and Karl Rove Agree: Let's Assist Our Returning Military in Finding their Next Careers - ACP AdvisorNet

American Corporate Partners (ACP), a national nonprofit organization that connects post-9/11 veterans to business professionals for career guidance, announced the launch of its new televised public service announcement featuring David Axelrod and Karl Rove actually agreeing on something!

More than 2 million US service members who have served in our military since 9/11 have returned home and another million are expected to transition in the coming years. Many are seeking new careers, exploring opportunities, writing résumés and starting businesses, and they are seeking our help.

Axelrod and Rove have teamed up in this PSA to encourage Americans to assist our returning military by offering career advice and networking opportunities via online volunteering on ACP AdvisorNet.

ACP’s online mentoring program, ACP AdvisorNet (acp-advisornet.org) is a free “quick question community” connecting veterans to the private sector workforce. By joining ACP AdvisorNet, Americans can volunteer their time – from their homes, laptops or mobile devices – to share career advice with transitioning veterans even for just a few minutes a week.

ACP AdvisorNet is a fully funded non-profit endeavor and does not seek donations. It does not sell advertisements nor market to its users. Its sole aim is to encourage a dialogue whereby Americans can offer career advice to those who have served.

The Axelrod/Rove PSA is the latest in a series of PSAs encouraging Americans to join ACP AdvisorNet and offer career advice to our returning veterans. Other ACP AdvisorNet PSAs have featured President Bill Clinton, wrestler John Cena, Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky, and a joint radio PSA hosted by Sarah Palin and John Stewart.
